Until 21 June we are operating socially distanced bubble seating in the theatre.
To book a seat you must select ALL seats within that bubble.
If you get an error message it means you haven't booked ALL the seats in that bubble.
If there are no bubbles left of the size that you want please email telling us the number of seats you want and we can add you to a waiting list.
Thanks for your understanding.

Youth Theatre Inclusion

Following support from the St Edmunds Trust and the GEEWIZZ charity, Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds are delighted to launch new Youth Theatre Inclusion Groups for young people with disabilities.

These groups are a part of our already established Youth Theatre programme and will support young people to build their confidence, make new friends and learn skills through predominantly non-verbal activities in a fun and friendly environment.

Theatre Royal’s team are working hard to make sure these groups are fully inclusive and accessible. Our Creative Learning team will take part in a training programme with Open Theatre later this year, who have been developing work with young people with disabilities through non-verbal physical theatre for over 30 years. We are also establishing a SEND Professionals Network (made up of local teachers and other professionals working with young people with disabilities in the area), who will meet each term to advise and support us as we develop the programme.

We are committed to starting these groups in an environment where we can meet face to face with limited social distancing restrictions and are therefore still working on a start date for the groups. In the meantime, we would love to hear from potential participants and their parents or local SEND professionals.

To get in touch, please email for more information.

A limited number of Youth Theatre bursary places are available. To apply, please follow this link to the digital bursary application form –
