Aged 8-22? Theatre Royal Youth Theatre could be for you!
Theatre Royal’s Youth Theatre is the only group in the area to be based around a working professional theatre, which means you get to learn from practitioners with industry experience, helping you grow in confidence and become a better performer.
If you are between the ages of 8 and 22 looking for an opportunity to develop your performance skills in a creative and professional environment, we have a variety of groups you can choose from.
No previous acting experience is necessary, just a passion and commitment to creating exciting pieces of drama!

Youth Theatre Non-Verbal
Following support from the St Edmunds Trust and the GeeWizz Charitable Foundation, Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds are delighted to launch Youth Theatre Non-Verbal. These groups will support young people who are learning disabled or neurodivergent to build their confidence, make new friends and participate in non-verbal creative play in a fun and friendly environment. By using a non-verbal delivery style, this will allow all young people (verbal or non-verbal) to take ownership of activities facilitated by our team of highly skilled practitioners, and express themselves within a creative process that is accessible to their creative differences.
