An Introduction to Puppetry for Young People at the Library

Want to learn how to create a character through puppetry?
Join actor and puppeteer Ashton Owen, in this two-hour workshop as you learn the basics of puppetry, using materials and objects that you can find at home to bring your imagination to life!
Meet Ashton Owen: An actor, puppeteer, puppetry director and theatre maker trained at East 15 Acting School. Performance credits include Fantastic Pablo Fanque, There’s A Monster in Your Show, The Smartest Giant in Town, Wind in the Willows, and Mr Men and Little Miss on Stage. Their theatre-making and puppetry direction work includes Fantastic Pablo Fanque, supported by Norwich Theatre, Polka Theatre and Norwich Museums. They have also taught puppetry at East 15, Norwich Puppet Theatre, MadderMarket Theatre, and Age UK, and worked commercially as a puppeteer for Srunguk in Hearthstone (Explosive Alan Productions).*
This session will take place at Bury St Edmunds Library.
