An Introduction to Stage Combat for Young People (11-13)

Always wanted to learn hand-to-hand combat like Kick Ass? Or master the karate kick like The Karate Kid? Well, now you can with guidance from Cameron Carlson, our Stage Combat expert.
Cameron will teach you all you need to know about how to master unarmed stage combat techniques and how to perfect that perfect swing without hurting anyone (or yourself)! If you’re aged 11-13, join this exciting session and leave with some brand-new skills!
Meet Cameron Carlson: Cameron is a professionally trained actor and fight performer, holding a BA in Acting & Stage Combat from East 15 Acting School. He specialises in stage and screen combat and has trained extensively across multiple weapon systems, including Rapier & Dagger, Sword & Shield, and Smallsword. His professional work spans major AAA video game titles, as well as stunt performance for the feature film Legend Has It and the BBC series Waterloo Road.
Alongside his performance work, Cameron is an experienced fight choreographer for theatre, with credits including The Good, The Bad, The Silly (Barons Court Theatre) Blodlina: The Viking Musical (Edinburgh Fringe Festival), and more recently, Wellington 24 (Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds). He is also the co‑founder of Wandering Knight, a company dedicated to making high‑quality fight performance training more accessible to performers.
