Half Term Treats!

Posted on: 24th October, 2016

With Half Term here its the perfect time to take a look at the theatre’s line up and perhaps offer a few ideas and trips to keep everyone entertained during the week off school.

On Thursday 27th October Albee Vector Sound Collector swings onto stage, this is perfect for ages 4 and above. Join Albee and his friend Andromeda as they battle Kings, curses and cruelty on their quest to discover the most beautiful sound in the world. Expect to make whizzing, popping, crashing, banging and possibly a few fart noises!

Finishing off our Half Term week of theatrical fun we welcome Story Pocket Theatre with King Arthur. The classic tale of heroism, love and betrayal has been adapted from Michael Morpurgo’s novel. The show is as a fast moving family adventure, full of physical theatre and outstanding storytelling. It’s an adventure that will be enjoyed by ages 7 plus.

And don’t think it’s just the youngsters who are getting all of the treats this Half Term because on Saturday 29 October the Theatre Royal Friends Committee are holding a book sale at Oddfellows Hall in Whiting Street. Join us between 10.30am – 4pm to peruse some lovely books over a delicious cup of Lavazza coffee, or a cup of Suffolk blend tea and some home-made cake, stimulating your grey matter and finding a bargain first edition! The proceeds from the book sale will go to support the Theatre Royal. Drop in and let us satisfy your taste buds and your literary inclinations.  Buy just the one, or lots of absolute bargain books and CDs from a range to suit all tastes.

I hope there is something this Half Term that interests you and if you would like to book any of the shows then call our Box Office on 01284 769505 or visit the website www.theatreroyal.org and do pop along to the book sale Oddfellows Hall.
