Musical Theatre Masterclass: Wicked

Join professional performer Grace Wellfare for an action-packed morning of Wicked themed musical theatre at Theatre Royal! Spend a morning on our stage as you are immersed in the enchanting Land of Oz. Begin the session with a physical and vocal warm-up before learning songs and dance routines from the smash-hit musical and new feature film! Follow Grace as she takes you through a range of exercises that will connect you with characters and their emotional journeys and you’ll also get the chance to learn and perform short scenes from the musical. If you want to brush up on your Musical Theatre skills, then this is the workshop for you!

 

Minny Stynker

Combining high quality children’s theatre with the magic of projection mapping and puppetry, Minny Stynker brings the vibrant illustrations from the book, Minny Stynker by Tomasina Cuthbert, to life. Kit takes matters into his own hands, when one night, while drawing to pass the time, the swirls and whirls on his page giggle into a life of their own, and a very unusual adventure unfolds!

Nick Sharratt’s Picturebook Drawalong

Join much-loved children’s writer and illustrator Nick Sharratt in a family-friendly, fun-filled drawalong for all ages. He’ll be taking a look at some of his favourite books, showing you how to create characters like Tracy Beaker and Timothy Pope, sharing ways to invent your own crazy creatures and giving loads of top tips as you draw along with him. Nick has illustrated close to 300 books including the much-loved ‘You Choose’, ‘Shark in the Park’ and ‘Pants’ series. He’s worked with authors including Julia Donaldson, Michael Rosen and Kes Gray, and he’s also illustrated lots of Dame Jacqueline Wilson’s phenomenally popular children’s novels. Bring pens and paper.
