Free Tickets For Dorothy, Back In Oz

We’re giving away a limited number of free tickets to our summer production of Dorothy, Back In Oz so that we can share live performance with those who may not be able to attend otherwise. This is a fantastic family musical created by Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds.

Theatre Royal is working in partnership with Job Centre Plus to offer those claiming Universal Credit free tickets for Dorothy, Back In Oz via Theatre Royal’s Box Office.
Owen Calvert-Lyons, Theatre Royal Artistic Director says: “We are making an incredible, uplifting, fun show this summer filled with incredible music and dance and we want to give everyone in our community the chance to come and see it. We know coming to the theatre isn’t going to be an option for everyone, simply due to the cost of tickets, and so by working with community partners and through our own community ticketing programme we are making a number of tickets free of charge.”
Dorothy, now a young teenager, is living all of the chaos and emotion that comes with teenage life. Suddenly, her hometown of Stowmarket is submerged by flash flooding and Dorothy and her best friend, Billina the chicken, find themselves transported to the edge of the famous Yellow Brick Road, now lying in ruin. In the time Dorothy has been gone, the evil Gnome King has taken the throne and just so happens to be wearing a rather fabulous pair of red slippers. Meeting friends and foe on her adventure back into Oz, will Dorothy be able to overcome the Gnome King and restore hope to the people of Oz?
Free tickets are available for all 11am performances including:
11am, Saturday 17 August
11am, Saturday 24 August
11am, Saturday 31 August
How to claim:
Chose your performance from the above times and dates, email our box office team at booking@theatreroyal.org with the number of children and adult tickets required (up to a maximum of 4 tickets in total) and attach evidence of the bookers receipt of Universal Credit. This could be in a screenshot, attachment or image form. Please include your full name, address and contact phone number and our Box Office will get back to you as soon as they are able to with a booking confirmation. Tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have any accessibility needs, please let us know in your email. Offer valid until our allocation of free tickets have gone or the 31st of August, whichever is first.
