It was great to have Zanna and Marc from The Suffolk Pod Show talk to our Artistic Director Owen Calvert Lyons about the past 4 and a half years since he began his role at Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds.
Owen spoke about some of our highlights over the past 4 and a half years and our new ground-breaking summer production coming in August 2025 – Steve & Steff For Ever, written by Ian Jarvis (Death in Paradise and Beyond Paradise). Listen to the episode below or on The Suffolk Pod Show website here.
Owen talks about the depth and breadth of our work within the Bury St Edmunds and West Suffolk community, with a particular focus on engaging young people through our Youth Theatre, young people’s workshops, Youth Advisory Board and in-school performances. He also talks about the eternal drive in attracting new audiences and why members and sponsors are so integral to the work the theatre does.
