  • Cast & Crew

Want to learn how to create a character through puppetry?

Join actor and puppeteer Ashton Owen for a two-hour introduction to the fundamentals of puppetry. Using brown paper and everyday household objects, you will explore puppetry techniques; experimenting with movement, storytelling, and imagination while learning how puppeteers bring inanimate objects to life.

Meet Ashton Owen: An actor, puppeteer, puppetry director and theatre maker trained at East 15 Acting School. Performance credits include Fantastic Pablo Fanque, There’s A Monster in Your Show, The Smartest Giant in Town, Wind in the Willows, and Mr Men and Little Miss on Stage. Their theatre-making and puppetry direction work includes Fantastic Pablo Fanque, supported by Norwich Theatre, Polka Theatre and Norwich Museums. They have also taught puppetry at East 15, Norwich Puppet Theatre, MadderMarket Theatre, and Age UK, and worked commercially as a puppeteer for Srunguk in Hearthstone (Explosive Alan Productions).*

This session will take place at Bury St Edmunds Library
