Peter Pan Dame Announcement!

Posted on: 18th July, 2019

Like Morecambe and Wise, like ketchup and fries, like Juliet and Romeo, ebb and flow, to and fro, they’re back and they’re together again!

Theatre Royal are delighted to announce the return of two of our most loved pantomime family members! Chris Clarkson returns as Dame Tiger Lily and Oliver Mawdsley his lovable comedy counterpart (and love interest!) Smee.

The two first worked together back in 2015’s pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk and returned to Theatre Royal’s stage in our last pantomime Sleeping Beauty, where they made audiences cry with laughter, awed the children of Suffolk and helped make that pantomime the best-selling in Theatre Royal history!

The rest of the cast are still yet to be announced so keep an eye on our social media and blog to see who will be joining this wacky duo in this year’s traditional family pantomime.

A sequence in which they rehash the Twelve Days of Christmas, flinging toilet rolls into the audience and liberally soaking them with water pistols is probably the best panto moment I’ve seen this year (and I’ve seen a lot).
