TINY PLAYS, BIG IDEAS
Suitable for KS2+

Supported by Arts Council England, Tiny Plays Big Ideas allows Year 6 pupils the opportunity to write their own plays. We also work with mixed year group classes (Y5/Y6)

Students are mentored by local leading playwrights who teach young people how to write their first play. Students participate in two workshops at their school before being tasked with writing a play about whatever their heart desires. Previous titles include:
Evil King Jeff, The Journey to Glory, When Squirrels Saved the Earth, Slaptoe Pants Saves the World and Karen’s Day Out!

The Creative Learning Team will then read all of the plays written (over 300!) and choose at least 1 from each school to be performed by local professional actors on our main stage. Students are then invited to come and witness the mayhem for themselves!

Participation in the programme is free however spaces are limited.
