Fri 26 Nov — Sun 16 Jan

Running Time : 2 hours 20 minutes

It’s a busy day in Bury! On Butter Market Square, Buttons the barrow boy flogs his fruit. On Hardwick Heath, Prince Charming frets over his future. And up at Sickworth House, Kylie and Miley are making Cinderella’s life a misery. Poor old Cinders! All she knows is domestic drudgery, day in, day out…but this day is different, this day is special and when this day is done, nothing will ever be the same again.

Join us for a tale laced with laughter and love; plus the ugliest sisters you’ll ever be likely to meet.

GALA PERFORMANCE – Sun 5 Dec at 1pm (activities start at 12pm)

Ticket price includes fun and fancy dress before the show, ice creams, programme, goodie bags for the children, drinks and light nibbles. Suitable for all ages!

FAMILY SAVER PERFORMANCES – Fri 26 Nov 7pm, Tue 30 Nov 7pm & Sun 9 Jan 5pm

For these performances only, Under 21 tickets are £10.50.

BSL Performance – Wed 8 Dec at 7pm

Relaxed Performance – Thu 6 Jan at 7pm & Fri 7 Jan at 10.30am

The Relaxed Performances are intended to be SEN and dementia friendly: sound volumes and lighting levels will be reduced to soften their impact, pyrotechnics, flashing lights, and other surprising elements are removed, and the auditorium lights will stay on during the performance. In addition to these changes, the show will begin with an introduction to the characters, explaining, in particular, any elements which may be unfamiliar to some, and there will also be a brief description of the story and events which will happen during the performance. Seats can be booked in a manner which allows groups their own space and due to the nature of the layout of the Dress Circle and Upper Circle boxes, a smaller semi-isolated space can be easily obtained. We also encourage customers to get up and move around should they feel the need to. A complimentary companion ticket is available to anyone who would be unable to attend the theatre on their own.

These performances are not bookable online, please contact

Touch Tour (10.30am), Audio Described & Captioned Performance – Sat 8 Jan at 11am

Our panto is listed in the Showcall Online Panto Guide

We want all our audiences to enjoy the pantomime this year so there’s a few simple measures we can all take to ensure that happens.

We encourage all audience members to wear a mask when moving around the building – particularly in the bar area.

All our customers-facing staff will be wearing masks.

The Auditorium will be sanitised between each audience.

We have adjusted our auditorium heating system to use 100% fresh air rather than recycled air.  The fresh air will be heated when it is drawn in. This means that as the temperature outside drops, the auditorium temperature may well feel cooler so customers are advised to wear layers to be able to adapt to fluctuating temperatures.

Please do not attend if you have tested positive for Covid or have covid symptoms.

Please take a lateral flow test the day before you attend just to be sure!

If we all work together – we WILL go to the ball 😊

What the public say

A brilliant pantomime, very well acted. The costumes and the stage design were excellent. A very enjoyable evening.

A perfectly packaged pocket pant. Beautifully played and sung.

Exceptionally funny, truly one of the best pantomimes that I’ve been to. Great performances by everyone. Faultless! We had the best evening in such a long time.

Another classic Theatre Royal production, full of colour, music and laughter.

Fantastic feel-good show. Slick and assured performance from all the cast. The whole show worked well from start to finish, and this is surely a panto that the whole family will enjoy.

Overflowing with energy, verve and gusto. The acting, singing and dancing was superb, and the production struck the perfect balance between adult and children's humour, with just the right level of corny jokes and mild innuendo. Everyone around me was laughing helplessly and shouting enthusiastically when audience participation was required, and we left the theatre on a complete high. A fabulous first pantomime from Owen, the new artistic director - it's going to be an absolute triumph.

The perfect antidote to our post Lockdown lives.
