Stuff of Dreams Theatre Company Present A New Creative Writing Workshop

Posted on: 11th September, 2019

Join playwright, Karen Forbes, for a fun and interactive Creative Writing workshop session. No experience necessary, just a love of local heritage and an interest in the process of putting real-life characters at the centre of storytelling. Karen is a former teacher who went on to study script-writing at the University of East Anglia. Her plays include Rebellious Sisterhood, the story of the private cost suffered by prominent Suffragettes Emmeline Pankhurst and Grace Roe, and Edith in the Beginning, a brand-new play focussing on the vital role Mrs Edith Pretty played in the discovery of the Sutton Hoo treasure. This workshop will include an introduction to the art of ‘Well-being Journal Writing’, a fantastic skill that allows us to explore our own feelings and emotions through expressive writing.

This workshop is provided by Stuff of Dreams Theatre Company and is supported by Arts Council England.

Tue 29 Oct, 1.30pm – 3.30pm @ Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds.

This is a FREE workshop for those aged 55+
