Do you know a 9-13 year old with energy to spare, a free summer and a passion for theatrics? Looking for a way to get them involved in theatre? We have a fantastic opportunity for young people to take part in our upcoming summer production of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

We’re looking for 9-13 year olds to play munchkins, monkeys and courtiers (oh my!). This summer programme will see local young people working alongside theatre creatives, professional actors, and amateur actors from our local community, culminating in 2 weeks of live performances on Theatre Royal’s stage!

Please note, our young company members will split their roles with someone else and share the shows with someone else. We are looking for 2 teams of 6 and each member will perform in 3-4 shows per week. Applicants need to be the age of 9 by the start of rehearsals.

DATES

Applications Close: Fri 19 May

Auditions: Sat 3 Jun

Rehearsals: Mon 24 Jul – Thu 17 Aug (daytime, excluding weekends)

Performances: Fri 18 Aug – Sat 2 Sep (select afternoons & evenings)
