In summer 2023, Theatre Royal will be staging a brand-new adaptation of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Our legendary community production invites local young people to perform alongside a professional cast to create an exciting new production on our main stage. This year, we are expanding the production to include adults from our community. We are looking for 5 adults to play The Cowardly Lion, The Scarecrow, Mum, The North Witch, and The Medic.

Please note this is a community production and these 5 roles will be unpaid

This is a great opportunity to develop new skills, be part of a creative team and stage a production which will delight audiences.

If you are interested in being a part of the production, we would like to invite you to come along to a reading of the play on Wed 8 Feb, 5pm – 7.30pm at Theatre Royal.

The production takes place over the summer, rehearsing daytimes from Mon 31 Jul – Thu 17 Aug and performing evenings from Fri 18 Aug – Sat 2 Sep.
